About our nightwear
Our nightwear is designed and sewn with care by Jayne Christopher and Arlene Massey in the 1000 Islands area of eastern Ontario, Canada. We use traditional styles and the weather for inspiration, 100% cotton or cotton flannelette (some call it flannel) for comfort, and leave out the lace and frills. This seems to be what our customers prefer, because many have returned year after year to buy our products at the One of a Kind Christmas Show in Toronto. We've been making the same styles and sizes for more than two decades. We keep on as we seem to fill a flannel nightwear void - traditional well-made items like your grandmother might have made. We also keep on as many people get attached to their old favourites and don't want to give them up when it's time. They just want another one in a new colour.
Each year's crop looks different since we're always looking for new and beautiful fabrics to suit your moods and needs. We choose non-see-through fabrics and functional designs so you can answer the door without feeling too embarrassed that you're still wearing your nightgown at noon.
Our products are not preshrunk, but the quality of fabric is the best we can find, shrinkage is minimal, and we compensate by making everything extra roomy. Our nightgowns are sold by height, for those who want them extra long. We stand behind our nightwear. If there's a problem we refund, exchange, give you a rebate, or repair. We think our largish sizes match reality. We don't sell to stores and 2006 was our last trade show. But we do hope to see you here!
Laundering: Some care helps to keep everything younger longer. Cool and gentle setting for automatic washers, a few minutes of tumbling in dryer to smooth out wrinkles, and hang to dry.
